I found a bramble leaf in the garden with these two vacated mines of a micro moth Stigmella aurella though it looks more like a much rarer moth that doesn’t occur around here. The adult moth is 2mm across

During some digging in the garden my son found this caterpillar so I put it safe in an apple tree
This solitary bee flies around my garden taking nectar from Germander Speedwell. It can be tricky to catch buzzing around in the hot sunshine but I found this one as the sun was going down.
Dangling from a silk thread, I guess that this caterpillar was rather attached to the leaf it was eating.
